At the University of Tetova, specifically at the Faculty of Pedagogy was promoted the book “Current Developments in Education and Teaching”. This book contains a collection of papers from the conference organized by the Albanian Pedagogues’ Association of Tetovo, which address current issues in education.
On behalf of the Faculty of Pedagogy, the Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy, spoke Prof. Dr. Lulzim Mehmedi. He stated that this publication represents more than just a book. It is a true reflection of the challenges that education faces in our country and evidence of our collective efforts to reflect, analyze, and offer solutions. “The issues related to teachers’ participation in educational reforms, the impact of social media, student overload, adult education, and even inclusive education, cooperation with families, and the dominance of politics in this field—all of these are addressed with scientific seriousness and professional dedication. The Faculty of Education at the University of Tetova remains committed to supporting such initiatives and building a strong partnership between the academic world and educational practice”, —said among other things, the Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy, Prof. Dr. Lulzim Mehmedi.
The well-known educator, Prof. Dr. Xheladin Murati, in his speech, gave an overview of the book’s content, elaborating on the presentations of researchers, which include current issues in education and the modernization of the educational process. According to him, addressing educational and teaching issues is a very natural need for society and for educators, psychologists, and sociologists who work and operate in schools. “Education and school practice offer the opportunity to explore the environment and oneself within the school, professional resources, create new opportunities, promote contemporary teaching work, and develop various aspects of education, both theoretical and professional”, – said among other things, Prof. Dr. Xheladin Murati.
The President of the Albanian Pedagogues’ Association of Tetovo, Naim Kurtishi, expressed that this publication is the result of the dedication of many members of the Association—experienced educators with continuous commitment—who have contributed papers with both theoretical and practical value, reflecting the issues, challenges, and opportunities for improving education in our country.
“Through this book, we have not only provided a summary of the current situation but also offered an in-depth reflection on the dynamics that shape our educational system, from the primary to the secondary level. We have presented thorough analyses of educational policies, didactic methods, challenges faced by teachers, and developments that affect the overall quality of education”, – said among other things, the President of the Albanian Pedagogues’ Association of Tetovo, Naim Kurtishi.
This book is a testament to the collective commitment to strengthen the foundations of education in our country and to build a brighter future for the generations to come. The Teachers’ Association continues to be a strong bridge between teaching practice and academic development.
