The Faculty of Applied Sciences expands, enriches and advances its academic and practical work, adapting to contemporary trends and standards, primarily the labor market. The study programs are designed based on the experiences of European universities, such as Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, the Vienna University of Technology, etc. Studies at the Faculty of Applied Sciences are organized according to the 4 (bachelor’s degree) + 1 (master’s degree) model, as well as the integrated study system, i.e. the 5-year system in the Architecture study program. The study programs of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechatronics, and Transportation Engineering prepare professional and qualitative staff, who are easily integrated into the practical work of construction operations, in urbanization and design organizations, in the metallurgical and technological industries, as well as in analytical and transportation planning units.

The Architecture study program is constantly expanding, promoting and enriching with scientific, educational and professional activities, adapting to global trends and standards, as well as the needs of the economy and social communities. Educational plans and programs for studies in architecture are constantly being improved in accordance with the progress of science and technology, and on the other hand, in accordance with the changes that have arisen in our society, as well as with the needs for design, urbanism and spatial planning. The integration of the first and second cycle study programs ensures the integration of the professional competencies and skills of students who have completed their studies and the opportunity for a better approach to their profession in accordance with the national framework of professional qualifications, as well as the education and permanent access to modern professional and scientific knowledge of staff and professionals in the field of architecture, urban and spatial planning working in architectural projects and construction enterprises, local self-government units and other state institutions, public enterprises, as well as architects from scientific institutions and universities. This provides access to the architectural profession at different levels and in different areas that offers a comprehensive response to the needs of the labor market in the Republic of Macedonia.

The study program Civil Engineering the purpose of this program is to educate a graduate engineer. The graduate of this program will acquire all the knowledge and competencies to work professionally in the field of construction, including the development of creative problem-solving skills, the development of critical thinking and teamwork skills, necessary for construction work; as well as the education of experts who possess basic knowledge in the field of construction and are able to make critical arguments, hypotheses, concepts and data in making decisions and solving engineering issues creatively, to participate in the planning, design and implementation of large-scale construction projects, to be able to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in further professional and academic development and to engage in engineering and construction research using quantitative and qualitative research methodology.

The Mechatronics study program presents the discipline of the mechanical system, the sensor system, the microcomputer system and actors. Engineers and mechatronics are employed: in education (and scientific collaborators or professors), private companies (managers, leaders of a company), machinery companies, in the automotive industry or in the field of technology and communication, machine programs for technological processing of work , as well as in the diagnosis of dēmi and ghazūs. Engineers and graduates in mechatronics have the ability to design mechatronic systems, then apply this to various manufacturing and co-producing sectors, develop and design the work and equipment of mechatronic systems, combine (integrate) different professional fields and optimize and determine the level of work through the results achieved, meeting the technical and economic requirements, realization of the project and application in the automatic system, process control and flexible industrial systems through the integration of the hardware and the software, the technical management team, the activities and the activities , and the maintenance of the facilities and the production systems.

The study program Traffic Engineering and Transportation is a discipline of efficient education of engineers, whose professionalism will respond to the needs for the development of society in our country and beyond in the region. The engineer graduated in this study program is trained to design and implement contemporary systems in the field of traffic planning, road safety, organization, management (leadership) in transportation organizations, transportation logistics and environmental protection. Some of the employment opportunities: transportation organizations dealing with urban, interurban and international transport; enterprises and agencies for road regulation; transport inspectorate in the ministry or municipality; as an employee for the traffic department in the ministry or municipality; services where technical controls are carried out; bureau for professional services for traffic users; road design bureau, horizontal and vertical signaling design, as well as traffic feasibility studies; bureau for traffic accident expertise; insurance companies for determining damages and rights during vehicle insurance; lecturers with all rights to manage driving schools; in education (as scientific associates) or professors in vocational high schools; customs services; leadership positions in the traffic police and the traffic accident unit, etc.
