From May 19 to May 22, 2025, a delegation from the University of Tetova participated in the Annual Conference of the Aurora Alliance, which was held in Paris, France. This conference brought together representatives from dozens of European universities, members of the Alliance, to discuss joint strategies for the future of higher education in Europe, with a particular focus on innovation, social inclusion, and their development.
University of Tetova was represented by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, the President of the Senate, Prof. Dr. Kenan Ferati, the Head of the Rector’s Cabinet, Mrs. Valmisa Novi, and the Head of the Project Management Office, Mr. Artan Osmani.
The conference was organized by the Aurora Alliance, a consortium of European universities aimed at advancing an inclusive education model dedicated to addressing social challenges, such as social equality, the green transition, and digitalization.
During the conference, numerous panels, working sessions, and networking activities were held, addressing important topics such as: inter-university collaboration in scientific research, mobility of students and academic staff, policies for social inclusion, and common strategies for building more sustainable universities in response to the challenges of the time.
The delegation from the University of Tetova actively participated in various sessions, sharing the experiences and initiatives of UT in the areas of internationalization, development, and student involvement in decision-making processes. In addition to participating in the official activities of the conference, the UT delegation also held bilateral meetings with representatives from partner universities. One of the most important meetings was with the Rector of Paris-Est Créteil University and his close collaborator, where concrete possibilities for expanding academic and scientific collaboration between the two institutions were discussed. The discussions included the potential signing of new cooperation agreements, joint research projects, staff and student exchanges, as well as organizing joint academic activities.
Participation in the Annual Conference of the Aurora Alliance marks an important step in the journey of affirming the University of Tetova as an institution that contributes to shaping higher education in Europe.
